Joe Falter is the co-founder of Zapp, a position they have held for the past two years. Prior to that, they served as the EVP On-Demand Services for Jumia Group, where they were responsible for the company's On-Demand Services business unit. Joe also led the acquisition of Otlob on behalf of Foodpanda in August 2015. In December 2016, they exited Delivery Hero via the acquisition of Otlob. Prior to that, they were the co-founder of Rocket Internet GmbH, where they coordinated the global launch of a design-focused shopping club website that launched teams in 12 countries across 4 continents. Joe is also a partner at Cogn8, where they work alongside ex-MD of Waitrose and PR veteran to develop new products and ranges for FMCG brands. In 2011, they won The Grocer's Product Launch of the Year award for their work on a multi-category fresh range of Italian food. Prior to that, they worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company for two years. Joe began their career as a summer analyst at Lazard.
Joe Falter attended the London School of Economics and Political Science from 2004 to 2007, where they studied government and economics. Joe then attended St. Paul's School from 1999 to 2004.
