Karen Woods has extensive experience in program administration and children's services, currently serving as the Program Administration Manager at the Juvenile Welfare Board since January 2011. In this role, Karen manages a $62 million portfolio, overseeing contract development and ensuring the delivery of high-quality programming for children and families. Prior to this position, Karen worked at The Salvation Army from September 1999 to January 2011 as the Director of Children's Services, where responsibilities included developing a comprehensive range of community-based programs and overseeing the creation of an $8 million campus for foster children, supported by an $11 million endowment. Academically, Karen holds a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Tampa, a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling from Indiana State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
