Melissa Arana

Melissa Arana is a Process Improvement Engineer and Scrum Master at K2 Systems US & MX since June 2021, where responsibilities include enhancing product launch processes through collaboration with various departments and optimizing R&D information storage. Prior experience includes serving as Project Management Coordinator, where Melissa improved Scrum framework implementation. Melissa also interned at Logan Heights Community Development Corporation, focusing on supporting small businesses impacted by COVID-19. As President of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers, Melissa coordinated meetings and facilitated communication with advisors, and held various roles in the organization. Additional roles include Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of San Diego, where Melissa developed curriculum for underrepresented youth, and Teacher Assistant at Kit Carson Elementary School, implementing User-Centered Design methods. Melissa holds a BS/BA in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of San Diego.
