Daniel Yang, MD, is an accomplished physician and leader in the field of medical diagnostics and technology. Currently serving as Vice President of AI and Emerging Technologies at Kaiser Permanente, Daniel is dedicated to enhancing the responsible use of AI across clinical operations and research. Previously, as Program Director of the Diagnostic Excellence Initiative at the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, Daniel co-founded a $120M initiative that catalyzed a global movement towards diagnostic excellence, securing over $20M annually in federal research funding. Daniel's background includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University's Clinical Excellence Research Center and an assistant professorship at UCSF, where clinical care and medical education were key responsibilities. Daniel's early career involved significant research in Thailand as a Fogarty International Clinical Research Scholar, focusing on HIV prevention. Daniel holds a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois Chicago and completed an internal medicine residency at the University of California, San Francisco.
