Ryan Kortmann has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in software engineering and technical analysis.
Starting in 2010, they worked as a Multimedia Developer Intern at Democrat and Chronicle. Following that, they held the position of Information Technology Assistant at Rochester Institute of Technology from March 2010 to December 2010.
In 2011, Kortmann had two separate roles at Credit Suisse, first as an IT Analyst Intern in the Architecture Division, Governance and Control for a 10-week development program, and later as a Technical Analyst until January 2014.
From September 2011 to May 2012, they served as a Student Web Developer at Rochester Institute of Technology - NTID Marketing, where they conducted routine maintenance and content updating for the main NTID website and redesigned the NTID C-Print Website as a side project.
Starting in July 2014, Kortmann joined JackThreads as a Full Stack Developer, responsible for developing and maintaining their inventory, tracking, and reporting system and API. Ryan also managed the JackThreads AWS infrastructure and automated build systems. From July 2015 to April 2017, they took on the role of Senior Full Stack Developer at JackThreads, continuing their responsibilities while adding additional DevOps tasks.
In April 2017, Kortmann transitioned to be a Software Engineer, Core Services at Emogi. However, this role was short-term, as they left in October 2017.
After Emogi, they joined Food52 in October 2017 as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked until March 2019. From March 2019 to May 2020, they served as a Tech Lead at Food52, transitioning to an Engineering Manager role from May 2020 to May 2022.
Currently, Ryan Kortmann works at Kajabi as a Staff Software Engineer, starting in May 2022.
Ryan Kortmann attended the Rochester Institute of Technology from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology.
