Stanton Kochanek, Ph.D. has a varied work experience beginning in 2011 when they started as a Fellow at the University of Pittsburgh Department of Pharmacology and Chemical Biology. In 2012, they continued at the same department in the same role. In 2013, they became a Graduate Student at the University of Pittsburgh and has since had a research focus on development of screening methodologies, anticancer drug combination studies, and analysis of drug-drug pharmacological relationships. In 2019, they took on an Assay Development Intern role at Western Oncolytics. In 2020, they started as an Associate Scientist at KaliVir Immunotherapeutics. Additionally, since 2016, they have been an Instructor, Choreographer, and Co-Director of Performance Teams at Los Sabrosos Dance Co., specializing in Latin dance, specifically salsa and bachata.

Stanton Kochanek received their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Cell and Molecular Biology from John Carroll University between 2008 and 2013. Stanton then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pharmaceutical Sciences-Biochemical Pharmacology from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, which they completed in 2019.
