James Smith has over 28 years of work experience in various roles and industries. James started their career at Columbia House, where they were a Senior Production Manager and played a key role in the digital publishing and print transformation of the company. James then moved on to Applied Graphics Technologies, where they managed digital publishing technologies and production operations. During their time there, they increased revenue by 250% within one year.

After that, Smith joined WeMedia.com, a start-up focused on producing web content for families and individuals with disabilities. As the Director of Project Management, they built and managed the project management office and oversaw all phases of web production.

Smith then worked at ACTV as a Senior Program Manager, leading interactive program initiatives for products that synchronized web content to television programming. James managed large projects and implementations for notable clients such as Microsoft, Game Show Network, and Discovery Channel.

Before joining Thomson Media as the Director of Information Systems, Smith worked at Kaltura, Weight Watchers, and Computer Generated Solutions. At Kaltura, they served as the Vice President of Professional Services for the Americas, leading client implementation service delivery and overarching project oversight. At Weight Watchers, Smith was a Project Manager, responsible for implementing a portfolio of enterprise technology initiatives. And at Computer Generated Solutions, they held the roles of Senior Program Manager for Professional Services at Dell Computers and Senior Manager of Technology Operations at Platform Learning Inc.

Throughout their career, Smith has consistently demonstrated leadership and expertise in project and program management, implementation of technological solutions, and building strong customer relationships.

James Smith earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences from Stony Brook University between the years 1985 and 1988.
