Kawena Lei Apao

Kawena Lei Apao is a seasoned professional in communication and media strategy, currently serving as a Senior Content Strategist at Kamehameha Schools and as the Founder & Creative Director of Māʻona Media. With extensive experience, Kawena previously held roles as Creative Director, Designer & Special Projects Manager, and Special Project Manager at the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement. Additional roles include Digital Media Specialist at the Office of Hawaiian Affairs and Project Manager & Executive Assistant at Lent Enterprises Digital. Earlier experience includes a position as Specialist at Apple Inc. and Account Coordinator at Hastings & Pleadwell. Kawena Lei Apao holds a Master's Degree in Communication with a focus on Social Media and a Bachelor's Degree in Communication with a minor in Strategic Communication, both from Hawaii Pacific University.
