Tailar Johnson has diverse work experience spanning across different industries and roles. Tailar started their professional career in 2016 as a Marketing and Administrative Assistant for Honey and Twine Weddings and Event Planning. In 2017, they worked as a Marketing Intern for OSIsoft. Then in 2018-2019, they served as an Occupational Therapy Assistant at Pediatric Therapy Center, followed by a few months as Occupational Therapy Assistant at Certified Hand Rehabilitation Center in 2019-2020. From 2019-present as well, they worked as a Purchasing Administrator for Brothers Home Improvement. Tailar then shifted their career to Occupational Therapy, starting from their Fieldwork Level 1A in California’s YMCA in 2021. And further contributed to the pediatric population, undergoing a Fieldwork Level 2A at Bearfoot OT, then a Fieldwork Level 1B at REBUILDING TOGETHER SACRAMENTO, and a Fieldwork Level 2B at UCSF Health, offering supervised outpatient and acute inpatient care. Tailar'scurrent role at Kandu Health involves designing, planning, and implementing Doctoral Capstone projects that include quantitative research, wearable device testing, scoping literature reviews, graphics creation, and focus group outreach, accentuating the value of healthcare technologies for post-acute stroke survivor communities.
Tailar Johnson completed their high school education at San Ramon Valley High School from 2011 to 2015. Tailar then went on to complete their undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies/Economics at the University of California, Santa Cruz from 2015 to 2019. In 2021, they began pursuing their Clinical Doctorate in Occupational Therapy/Therapist from the University of the Pacific, which they are expected to complete in 2023. In May 2022, they obtained a certification as a Certified Neuro Practitioner from The Neuro Specialist Institute.
