Danielle Bender

Danielle Bender has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a Software Engineer II at Kangarootime since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Anthology Inc as a Senior Product Developer I from November 2018 to February 2022. In this role, they primarily focused on front-end software development using React and occasionally worked on back-end API code in C# and Entity.

Danielle also served as a Chapter Leader at Girl Develop It - Buffalo from August 2017 to February 2019, where they worked with other leaders to maintain a strong network of developers, plan classes, coordinate meetups, and mentor other developers. Girl Develop It is an international non-profit organization that offers software development education to underrepresented groups, with a focus on women.

Before that, Danielle worked as a Jr. Software Engineer at Pointman LLC from May 2017 to October 2018. In this role, they focused on JavaScript/Angular development with a C#/MSSQL backend. Danielle also contributed to the migration of app data to Azure and helped with encrypting and decrypting files for the migration.

Danielle's earlier experience includes working as a Customer Service Associate at Pep Boys from July 2016 to August 2018, where they provided assistance to customers, answered questions, located automotive products, and managed inventory. Danielle also worked as a Manager at Jims Steakout from March 2013 to August 2016, where they led a team of employees, managed cash balance, inventory, and customer satisfaction, and handled food preparation in the kitchen.

Danielle Bender attended West Seneca West Senior High from 2010 to 2014, where they earned their Advanced Regents with Designation. Following their high school graduation, they went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Niagara University from 2014 to 2018.
