Sarah Peters

Sarah Peters has a diverse work experience that spans over two decades. Sarah started their career in 2000 at Aurelio's Pizza Franchise, Ltd. as a server, where they worked until 2014. In 2007, they transitioned to A.N. Webber, Inc. as a Staff Accountant until 2013. Sarah then joined Kankakee Community College in 2013 as an Accountant I, eventually working their way up to the Coordinator of Financial Affairs role in 2016. Currently, they serve as the Director of Financial Affairs, overseeing grant accounting, preparing financial statements, and audit work papers.

Sarah Peters completed their high school education at Bradley Bourbonnais Community High School, earning a diploma in 2002. Sarah then continued their education at Kankakee Community College, where they obtained an Associate of Science degree in Accounting in 2004. Sarah furthered their studies at Illinois State University, graduating in 2007 with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Accounting and Finance. In 2018, they obtained various certifications in leadership and strategy from Kankakee Community College and KANKAKEE COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT #520.
