Saara Hacklin

Chief Curator Of Collections at Kansallisgalleria | Finnish National Gallery

Saara Hacklin is the Chief Curator of Collections at the Finnish National Gallery's Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma, a position held since February 2017. Hacklin's previous roles include Curator at Kiasma, from August 2014 to July 2016, and Curator at Aalto University between September 2016 and June 2017, where Hacklin also served as a Guest Lecturer in aesthetics. Additionally, Hacklin has extensive experience in academia, serving as a Guest Lecturer at various institutions and holding a position on the board of Kulttuuriyhdistys Mustekala ry from 2008 to 2015, including two terms as Chair. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Aesthetics from the University of Helsinki, as well as a Special Vocational Qualification in Leadership and Business Management from the Management Institute of Finland. Hacklin has continued involvement in research and education through various roles, including current studies at Jan van Eyck Academie and Université Toulouse - Jean Jaurès.
