Latanya C. Franklin

LaTanya C. Franklin, Ed.D., currently serves as the Chief Academic Officer of Kansas City Public Schools since July 2022, following a tenure as Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction. Prior to this role, LaTanya was Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction and Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Hickman Mills School District from July 2015 to July 2022. LaTanya also held the position of Principal at Grandview C-4 School District from July 2011 to July 2015 and served as Assistant Principal at Center School District from July 2005 to July 2011. LaTanya earned a degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City between 2000 and 2004 and holds an earlier degree from the University of Central Missouri, obtained from 1991 to 1995.
