Colby Farlow, P.E. has extensive experience in bridge engineering and project management, currently serving as the Director of Program and Project Management for the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) since June 2009. Colby has held various roles within KDOT, including Interim Director, Assistant Director, Program Management Engineer, and Local Bridge Team Leader, overseeing the design and inspection of federal and state-funded local bridges. Colby's previous positions at KDOT also include Local Bridge Engineer and Bridge Design Engineering Associate, focusing on statewide load rating programs and the design of bridge structures on the state highway system. Colby's career began with internships at KDOT in bridge management and road design, as well as serving as a Survey Crew Assistant at Cook, Flatt & Strobel Engineers, P.A. Colby holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Kansas.
