Clint Paugh has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of lighting design. Clint started their career in 1995 as an Assistant Preparator at the Krannert Art Museum, University of Illinois. Clint then worked as an Assistant Preparator and later as a Lighting Designer at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art from 1999 to 2011. During this time, they were responsible for art-related lighting, exhibition design, and project management.

In 2013, Clint Paugh became the Principal at Helios Lighting Design, where they provided lighting design and consultation services for architectural, museum, gallery, and landscape lighting projects. Clint continued this role until 2016, when they joined Henderson Engineers as the Director of Architectural Lighting. At Henderson Engineers, their responsibilities included managing a team of lighting designers and leading innovative lighting design projects in various sectors.

In 2019, Clint Paugh joined KU Endowment as the Development Director for the School of Architecture and Design. Clint is currently contributing to the development and fundraising efforts for the school.

Clint Paugh obtained their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Photography from The University of New Mexico, where they studied from 1990 to 1993. Prior to that, they attended The University of Kansas from 1988 to 1990, although the specific degree and field of study during this period are not available. Clint later pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Photography at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they studied from 1993 to 1996.
