Max Crema is an associate at Kaplan Hecker & Fink LLP, resident in the New York office.
Max completed clerkships with the Hon. M. Margaret McKeown of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Hon. Leo T. Sorokin of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. He volunteered as a law clerk for Tiffany Cabán for District Attorney, where he supported the legal team in a borough-wide, closely fought recount. Max also volunteered as a Deputy Voter Protection Director for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for Congress, and as a law clerk and communications consultant for Julia Salazar for State Senator. Max led the registration of 1,000+ voters, expanding the Alamance County, North Carolina electoral toll to a record size as an organizer for Hillary for America in 2016.
Max received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was inducted into the Order of the Coif. He was the Executive Articles Editor for The Georgetown Law Journal, and the Director of Voting Rights for Georgetown Law ACLU. He was named the Exceptional Pro Bono Honoree. Max received his Master of Arts, with Honors, from the University of Edinburgh.
