Karen María

Karen María has been working in the travel and hospitality industry since 2011. Karen began their career as a Café Barista at Te & Kaffi in 2011. In 2012, they joined Primera Air as Cabin Crew. Karen then moved to Iceland Travel in 2015, where they held the roles of System Specialist and Bookkeeper. In 2018, Karen María joined Kaptio Travel and held the roles of Product Manager, Consultant, and Quality Assurance.

Karen María attended Menntaskólinn við Hamrahlíð from 2008 to 2012, where they studied Linguistics. Karen then attended Listdansskóli Íslands from 2007 to 2011 to pursue Contemporary Dance. Karen went on to attend Háskóli Íslands from 2013 to 2016, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Anthropology with a minor in Marketing and International Business. In 2018, they completed a Master's degree in Design Management from IED Barcelona.
