Justin Davis

Justin Davis is co-founder and president of BacklotCars, a fast-growing dealer-to-dealer used vehicle marketplace founded in 2015 and acquired by KAR Global in 2020. Focused on making wholesale easy for dealers, Davis also leads KAR’s North American dealer sales team.

Since joining KAR, Davis has led the successful integration of BacklotCars and TradeRev, combining all U.S. users onto one streamlined platform and digital dealer-to-dealer marketplace. Davis and his team lean in to their entrepreneurial roots, aiming to deliver a simple and intuitive solution that helps dealers conveniently sell and buy used vehicles on their own schedule, with most deals closing in under one day.

Prior to founding BacklotCars, Justin spent a decade in the wholesale used vehicle industry, working in regional sales roles for various wholesale auctions and as a dealership wholesale specialist overseeing the purchase, reconditioning and sale of 30+ cars per week. Davis is a graduate of the University of Kansas, and currently resides outside Kansas City, Missouri.
