Herbert Heitmann

Herbert Heitmann is an experienced management consultant and leader in brand and communications, currently serving as Founder and Managing Partner at Karaktero since May 2018. Heitmann has held key roles such as Faculty Member at Competent Boards and Partner at LiveTube, while also contributing as a former Member of the Supervisory Board for the Shell Alumni Network and a Board of Trustees member for Page Society. Notably, Heitmann was the Founding President of the European Association of Communication Directors, growing the association to over 2000 members and establishing significant events and platforms. Previous positions include Executive Vice President of Global Brand, Communications and Government Relations at Bayer and Executive Vice President of External Communications at Shell. Heitmann's education includes a Dr.-Ing. in Chemical Engineering from TU Dortmund University and completion of global leadership programs at INSEAD and Harvard Business School.
