Veronica Fjellström has a strong background in pharmacovigilance and medical information. Veronica started their career as a Safety Associate at Orexo AB in 2007. Veronica then worked as a Clinical Research Associate/Clinical Trial Assistant at AstraZeneca from 2008 to 2009. Veronica then moved to A+ Science, where they held various roles including EU QPPV Deputy and Head of Pharmacovigilance. During their time at A+ Science, they were responsible for overseeing and managing PV activities, compliance, resource planning, and budgeting. Veronica also trained and supervised PV personnel and handled interactions with QA and regulatory authorities. Veronica then worked as an EU QPPV Deputy at Bluefish Pharmaceuticals Group, where they oversaw multiple local QPPVs. From 2016 to 2019, Veronica worked at Orexo AB publ as a Global Quality & Compliance Manager, where they were the primary liaison between Orexo's US Marketing Company and local management representatives. Currently, Veronica is the Head of Global Patient Safety & Medical Information, EU & UK QPPV at Karo Healthcare, where they lead global and local pharmacovigilance and medical information efforts.
Veronica Fjellström has a Master's degree in Medical Science from Uppsala University in Uppsala, Sweden (2003-2007). Veronica also has upper secondary education in Natural Sciences from Midskogsskolan (1995-1998). Additionally, they have completed various training courses and symposiums related to pharmacovigilance and clinical safety, including courses at the European Medicines Agency and the Medical Products Agency. Veronica also has certifications in Kundstrategier (Account Strategy for Major Sales) and SPIN Selling from Huthwaite Svenska.
