James Royster

James Royster has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. James is currently working as the Vice President of Commercial Operations, Insights, and Analytics at Karuna Therapeutics since January 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Commercial Operations and Analytics at Adamas Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from 2020 to 2021.

From 2014 to 2020, James worked at Celgene, where they held various roles. James was the Head of Global Commercial Operations Transition Team, leading a multinational team during the divesture of OTEZLA to Amgen. James also served as the Head/Senior Director of Data Strategy & Operations and was responsible for developing mission-critical business functions for the launch of a multiple sclerosis product.

Before joining Celgene, James worked at Ethicon, Inc. as an Associate Director of Market Insights and at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson as a Manager of Integrated Analytics. James was involved in managing secondary market research, providing analytical insights, and implementing core analytic structures for various pharmaceutical programs.

Prior to that, James held several roles at Johnson & Johnson, including Principal Healthcare Consultant at SEDASYS SYSTEMS and Lead Healthcare Consultant at Bariatric Business Solutions. James also worked as a Senior Professional Sales Representative and Professional Sales Representative.

Throughout their career, James has demonstrated expertise in commercial operations, analytics, market research, and strategic planning. James has successfully led teams, provided strategic guidance, and delivered actionable insights to drive commercial performance.

James Royster obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from DePaul University. The duration of their education and any other academic experiences prior or subsequent to their time at DePaul University remain unknown.
