🙋🏻♂️ Ray T.

Ray T. has worked in the software engineering industry since 2015. 🙋🏻‍♂️ Ray'sfirst role was as a Software Developer at Uber Carshare, where they were responsible for the entire development stack during the early days of the peer-to-peer vehicle rental platform. Ray designed and developed a core payment micro-service, member activity tracker, member search engine, email API, vehicle damage record & reporting system, and admin notes.

In 2016, Ray moved to ThoughtWorks as a Software Developer. During this role, they worked in many industries and with multiple teams, and was involved in a service orientated Java Springboot backend.

In 2018, Ray joined Kasada as the Director of Engineering, Platform. 🙋🏻‍♂️ Ray has led 3 teams at Kasada and heads the engineering on call operations group. Ray's team is currently undergoing a massive project to reimagine Kasada's data backbone. 🙋🏻‍♂️ Ray is also a Senior Software Engineer for Backend & Infrastructure, and is responsible for helping software teams confidently move faster, identifying the simplest solutions that solve multiple problems, and reducing software engineering challenges. Ray has also cut Kasada's infrastructure bill by 10% while improving reliability and delivery guarantees of traffic log, and has replaced complex microservices topology with simple solutions.

Ray T. obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Sydney.
