Kaszek Ventures is a Latin American venture capital firm focused on early-stage companies. The firm was founded in 2011 by Hernán Kazah and Nicolas Szekasy, who are also the co-founders of MercadoLibre, an online marketplace in Latin America. The firm has offices in Buenos Aires, Argentina; São Paulo, Brazil; and Mexico City, Mexico. Kaszek Ventures' leadership team has a strong history in business and consulting. The team's head of business development, Guillermo Regules, previously worked at Perillon Software and Guyer & Regules. His experience in business development has been instrumental in the firm's success. The firm's other partners, Nicolas Szekasy and Hernan Kazah, have also been successful in their respective fields. Szekasy is a graduate of Stanford University's Graduate School of Business and has experience in consulting with the Babson Consulting Alliance Program (BCAP). Kazah is a graduate of the Universidad Católica del Uruguay 'Dámaso Antonio Larranaga' and has experience in the online marketplace industry. Both partners have also served on the boards of several companies, including Belvo, Bitso, Alice, and Sofía.
