Rahul Kanianchalil has a diverse work experience, beginning with a Research Assistant position at the Neurocognitive Kinesiology Laboratory in 2015. In the same year, they also took on the role of Internal Projects Committee Lead at the Association of Data Science and Analytics, where they created and lead workshops that taught students Python and Data Science Topics, and lead 3 teams that worked on projects that enhanced the ADSA experience. In 2016, they worked as a Systems/IT Intern at State Farm, where they created an Android Mobile application that detects if user is in a car accident to provide information for insurance adjuster, and created a mobile application that monitors critical processes that was previously manually checked. In 2017, they began working as a Software Engineer at Capital One, and was also part of the company's Auto Finance's Marketing and Analysis (M&A) department working with Amazon Web Service's Cloud technology to host and manipulate large data sets for critical reports. Rahul also played a vital role as a Data Engineer on the 'Autonomous Insights' team. In 2021, they began working as a Software Engineer at Katapult.
Rahul Kanianchalil completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Statistics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2017. Prior to that, they obtained their High School Degree from Libertyville High School in 2013. In addition, they obtained an Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate certification from Amazon Web Services in May 2018.
