Vedran Misic

Vedran Misic has over 18 years of work experience in design and illustration. Vedran began their career in 2002 as a Web Designer at Avon, where they re-designed the shopping home page and improved the user experience, significantly raising the average order price. In 2006, they became the Design Director at Freshpair, where they led the design team and helped the company double its profits. From 2009 to 2010, they were the Lead Designer at Oyster.com, where they improved the website's UI/UX, including the homepage redesign based on user experience research and usability testing. This ultimately helped the company land a $7.5 million dollar partnership with the Travel Channel. From 2010 to 2018, they were the Lead Designer for Aveda.com at The Estée Lauder Companies Inc., where they executed the design of all weekly email and banner ad campaigns, including both static and animated content. Vedran was also responsible for an array of design projects, including UI/UX improvements, landing pages, minisites, product images, etc. In 2012, they were a Freelance Designer for MOJO Organics Inc. / CHIQUITA Brands International Inc., where they designed labels for “Chiquita Tropicals,” a line of bottled juices, as well as POP displays, informational pamphlets, social media assets and B2B sales collateral. In 2013, they were a Freelance Illustrator for Adobe, where they developed illustrations for their advertising campaign titled "I AM THE NEW CREATIVE.” From 2014 to 2018, they were a Freelance Illustrator for Rip Curl, where they created artwork for the 11th annual Rip Curl Cup - Surfing Championship in Bali. In 2018, they were a Contract Illustrator at Colart. Since 2019, they have been the Design Director and Associate Design Director at Kathy Kuo Home.

Vedran Misic received their Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from the New York Institute of Technology in 2003. Vedran then pursued Continuing Education at the School of Visual Arts from 2006 to 2012.
