Keven Sloan

Keven Sloan has been an Air Traffic Controller since 2020, when they began working for KAYA Associates. Prior to that, they were an Airfield Manager for KBR, Inc. from 2018 to 2020, where they were responsible for coordinating functions and tasking with users, providers, and resource personnel while creating and implementing measures for control of airport safety and security. Keven also inspected runways, taxiways, parking aprons, pavements, arresting systems, signs, lighting, and airfield clearance areas. From 2017 to 2018, they were an Airfield Safety Advisor for the Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center, where they monitored the daily safety of operations on the airfield in direct support of the U.S. Embassy. From 2012 to 2017, they were an Air Traffic Control Supervisor/Air Field Management Team for the U.S. Navy, where they managed 22 Air Traffic Controllers in a dual nation control tower that operated non-parallel runways in Class D airspace supporting over 65,000 flight operations annually. Keven also provided direction, evaluation, coordination, and advice to the installation and airfield commander, concerning all aviation related matters. From 2006 to 2012, they were a Department LCPO/ATC Leading Chief and Department LCPO/Training Officer/CMEO for the U.S. Navy, where they provided sound guidance for 158 personnel and managed an $823K budget. From 2000 to 2006, they were a Training Chief/Radar Branch Chief and Approach Controller/CCA Branch/Air Ops Branch for the U.S. Navy, where they managed the Air Traffic Control training and standardization of a 42 person team in a challenging bilingual environment in support of 48,000 mishap free flight operations. Keven also coordinated three simultaneous carrier operations, ensuring safe control of over 10,000 incident-free combat sorties in support of IRAQI FREEDOM.

Keven Sloan attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from 2003 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics/Aviation/Aerospace Science and Technology, General.
