Sergei Diachenko

Sergei Diachenko is an experienced mining executive with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the Group Chief Operating Officer at Kazakhmys PLC since February 2011, Sergei previously held the position of Group Technical Director at the same company. Prior to that, Sergei worked with De Beers in various roles including Group Consultant for Mining and Business Development, as well as Group Mining Principal and Project Manager from June 2006 to June 2010. Sergei's earlier experience includes serving as Mine Manager and Technical Manager at Palabora Mining Company and holding the position of Underground Manager at Cullinan Diamond Mine under De Beers from August 1997 to May 2002.
