Diyas Tashimov has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Diyas started their career in 2009 as an Operator of Pump Station, where they controlled operational parameters and maintained pipeline equipment. Diyas then transitioned to the role of Dispatcher, ensuring safe and effective crude oil delivery and monitoring pipeline operations. In 2015, Diyas became an Energy Efficiency Engineer, setting targets and analyzing the crude oil pipeline transportation process. Diyas later advanced to the role of Principal Energy Efficiency Engineer, where they improved reporting processes and developed solutions for heavy oil transportation and throughput increasing. In 2018, Diyas became the Energy Efficiency Manager, leading a continuous improvement program. Diyas later joined KazEnergy in 2021 as the Head of Oil & Gas Industry Development Department, representing the interests of KAZENERGY Association members. Currently, Diyas serves as the Head of Technology Division at KazTransOil, where they provide guidance, identifies bottlenecks, and develops recommendations to optimize production and reduce costs.
Diyas Tashimov obtained a Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from Kazakh-British Technical University from 2004 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, Diyas also obtained additional certifications. Diyas completed a course titled "Energy Transition: Innovation Towards a Low-Carbon Future" from IFP School in April 2021. Diyas also completed a course called "English for Career Development" from Coursera in January 2017.
