Evelina Sotirova

Evelina Sotirova has extensive work experience in the field of information systems audit and IT risk management. Evelina started their career in 1999 at KPMG Bulgaria, where they worked as an Assistant Manager in Information Risk Management for various clients. In 2004, they joined Postbank, Eurobank EFG Group, initially as a Manager in Information Systems Audit and later as a Senior Manager. In these roles, they led audit engagements in Bulgaria and other countries, and was also a member of the International IS Audit Team. Evelina then moved to Eurobank (GRE) in 2007, where they held the position of Senior Manager in Information Systems Audit. Their responsibilities included conducting audits and consulting projects related to information systems, bank operations, and customer services. In 2017, they joined United Bulgarian Bank as the IT Audit Department Manager and later became the Chief IT Auditor. Currently, they are serving as the Team Lead ICT Audit at KBC Bank & Verzekering.

Evelina Sotirova holds a Master's Degree from D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics in Bulgaria. Additionally, they obtained certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. in 2015, CRISC from ISACA in 2011, and CISA from ISACA in 2003.
