Mike P.

Mike P. has over 30 years of work experience in various roles involving marketing, operations, business development, and sales. Mike began their career as a Cruise Ship Photographer and Photo Department Manager before moving on to positions such as Company Representative at National Educational Services and Senior Financial Representative at Fidelity Investments. Mike also worked as a Change Agent and Financial Representative at Charles Schwab.

In 2000, Mike joined Comerica as a Venture Banking Officer, focusing on penetrating the Portland technology and life-science community. Mike then worked at Buchalter as a Business Development Manager, where they focused on new client development and retention.

From 2007 to 2017, Mike worked at Kieckhafer, Schiffer & Company, LLP, serving as the Director of Marketing & Operations. In this role, they facilitated the growth of the firm's northwest offices through business development, recruiting, training, marketing, and operations management.

Currently, Mike works as the Director of Marketing and Operations at KBF CPAs, where they continue their responsibilities from their previous role at KS&Co. Their duties include business development training and management, marketing management, operations management, facilities management, and utilizing Salesforce.

Throughout their career, Mike has demonstrated strong leadership skills, a focus on client service, and a dedication to improving overall results.

Mike P. has a diverse education history. Mike attended Washington State University from 1981 to 1986, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing. In 1992, they enrolled at the College for Financial Planning, completing their studies in 1994 and obtaining the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation. In 2001, Mike attended Comerica's Credit College for a brief period. Additionally, they hold several certifications, including "Digital Marketing Strategies" from Portland State University's Center for Executive and Professional Education (CEPE) in 2020. Mike also obtained the "CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional" designation from the CFP Board in 1994. Lastly, in terms of additional certifications unrelated to their formal education, Mike obtained certifications such as "Webcast Elite" and "Forums" from ON24 in 2023, and "Open Water Diver" from SSI Scuba Schools International back in 1979.
