Jintang Du

Jintang Du has a strong background in scientific research and protein engineering. Jintang has worked as a Principal Scientist at KBio since 2022. Prior to that, they held positions at United Therapeutics Corporation, Synthetic Genomics, Calibr, The Scripps Research Institute, Cornell University, and Tsinghua University.

At United Therapeutics Corporation, Jintang served as a Senior Scientist and Scientist II. In these roles, they focused on antibody engineering and led efforts in discovering, designing, and engineering protein therapeutics for organ transplantation and cancer immunotherapy.

During their time at Synthetic Genomics, Jintang worked as a Scientist, specializing in ligand receptor engineering to eliminate crossreactivity or create new signal pathways.

At Calibr, Jintang served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, where they focused on antibody engineering and studied CDR loop and N-terminal fusion in monoclonal antibodies from human, mouse, and bovine sources.

At The Scripps Research Institute, Jintang worked as a Research Associate, focusing on human iPSC reprogramming, characterization, and differentiation in the context of genetic disorders.

During their Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at Cornell University, Jintang focused on protein structure in biology, specifically identifying NAD-dependent deacetylase substrate specificity through enzyme-substrate complex structure analysis.

Lastly, Jintang completed their Doctoral Research Fellowship at Tsinghua University, where they investigated the modulation of protein structure and function through protein phosphorylation, demonstrating the role of reversible protonation/deprotonation processes in regulating protein activity.

Jintang Du completed a PhD in Chemistry from Tsinghua University between 2001 and 2006. Prior to that, between 1997 and 2001, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Lanzhou University.
