Jorge Orlando Ortega Alvarez has a diverse range of work experience in the telecommunications industry. Jorge Orlando started their career at Universidad Autonoma del Estado de Hidalgo in 2009, where they worked as a Maintenance Library Network Assistant, performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrading tasks related to the library's equipment.

In 2010, Jorge joined Telmex as a Logging, Switching, and Transmission Assistant. Here, they were responsible for maintenance, upgrading, troubleshooting, and logging tasks related to sites. Jorge Orlando also checked optical fiber routes using Optical Power Source and Optical Power Meter.

While still working at Telmex, Jorge collaborated with Universidad Autonoma del Estado de Hidalgo as a Project HAWC Collaborator from 2010 to 2011. Jorge then joined Servicios Harcomm in 2012 as an Engineer Technical Support on Radiocommunications. Here, they specialized in installing microwave and radiocommunication equipment for Axtel, Bestel, and Telefónica Movistar. Their responsibilities included conducting site surveys, configuring, maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting microwave equipment using Pathloss software.

From 2015 to 2019, Jorge worked at Ericsson as a Deployment Manager. In this role, they managed, commissioned, integrated, and maintained RBS infrastructure. Jorge Orlando was specialized in local and remote supervision of RBS infrastructure, monitoring site development, operation, and maintenance, as well as commissioning, integration, and scripting of Ericsson RBS, specifically LTE technology.

Most recently, Jorge worked at KCCTech starting in 2019 as a RAN Engineer. Their responsibilities included wireless network engineering, targeted network improvement and optimization projects, network roll-out integration and commissioning services, and site launch and post-tuning processing for various technologies such as GSM, UMTS, LTE, VoLTE, and 5G.
