Doug Bain has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Doug started their career as a Lead Software Developer at Walker Martyn Software, where they were responsible for the development of various systems. Doug then joined IBM as a Systems Integration Manager, overseeing software development for the Pharmaceutical Solutions group. After their time at IBM, they joined Datatrak International as a Director of Technology Transfer and later worked as a Director of Systems Integration at Teamworks. Doug then moved on to eResearch Technology Inc., where they served as a Senior Technical Consultant, providing consultancy services to European clients. Doug subsequently joined Medidata Solutions, holding several roles including VP of Operational Excellence and VP of European Operations. Following their time at Medidata, Doug founded eClinicalHealth Ltd, where they served as the Chief Technology Officer and contributed to the development of patient-centered solutions for clinical research. Most recently, Doug joined KCR as the Chief Technology Officer, working with an innovative team to develop technology and processes that improve clinical trials. Throughout their career, Doug has demonstrated expertise in technology, clinical research, and operational management.
Doug Bain attended Kelvinside Academy from 1970 to 1982. Later, from 1983 to 1985, they studied Computer Studies at Abertay University.
