Michael D. Coates has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Michael D. started their career at WellPoint in 1992, where they worked as a Claims Examiner and later became a Supervisor of Claims and Customer Service. Michael D. also served as a New Hire Trainer and eventually became the Director of Large Group - Underwriting, Claims and Customer Service.

In 2013, Coates joined Pinnacle Claims Management, Inc. as the Customer Service Manager for SHOP Operations, and later became the Director of Large Group Claims and Customer Service. Michael D. was responsible for managing claims processing and customer service, as well as training and evaluating staff performance.
