Emine Karakan currently serves as the Head of Integration and International Recruitment Services at KEHA Center since April 2023, focusing on the establishment and advancement of responsibilities related to integration and work in Finland. Previously, Emine held multiple positions at ELY-keskus from June 2015 to April 2023, including Head of Immigration, where responsibilities involved coordinating immigrant integration efforts across multiple regions, implementing national legislation, and guiding municipalities on refugee matters. Additionally, Emine was a city council member in Vaasa from 2017 to 2023, participating in educational committees and cultural affairs, and has extensive experience in youth counseling and various roles in administrative support and equality advocacy. Emine holds a Master's degree in Social Psychology and a minor in Psychology.
