Ashley Barriere is a Partner at Keller Postman LLC. She leverages her experience at an AmLaw25 law firm and knowledge of the intricacies of multi-district litigation to anticipate opponents’ arguments, crafting powerful legal strategies and briefs on behalf of her clients.

At Keller Postman, Ashley focuses on significant product-liability matters. In the Acetaminophen—ASD-ADHD Products Liability Litigation, she is appointed to serve on the Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee, where she will lead the Law and Briefing Subcommittee. She is also a member of the court-appointed Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee in the Onglyza and Kombiglyze XR MDL, where she chairs the Law and Briefing Subcommittee. She also represents clients and briefs critical legal issues in the 3M Combat Arms Earplug MDL and the Paragard IUD MDL.

Before joining Keller Postman, Ashley was an associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP in New York, where she represented Fortune 500 companies in litigation and investigations. Ashley then joined Huber Thomas & Marcelle LLP, where she developed critical courtroom skills representing plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal litigation, as well as creditors and debtors in complex bankruptcies.

Ashley served as a law clerk for Judge Eldon E. Fallon at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. Judge Fallon’s work overseeing large multi-district-litigation matters inspired Ashley to join the plaintiffs’ bar. At the time of Ashley’s clerkship, Judge Fallon was presiding over the Chinese Drywall Products Liability MDL, Vioxx Products Liability MDL, and Xarelto Products Liability MDL.

Ashley serves as Mayor LaToya Cantrell’s appointee to the Quality Assurance Review Committee for the Inspector General for the City of New Orleans. In that role, Ashley is tasked with reviewing the Office of Inspector General’s work on behalf of the citizens of New Orleans. Ashley and her two committee colleagues issue an annual report on the Inspector General and hold a public meeting on their conclusions.

Ashley was appointed by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana as pro bono counsel in a § 1983 case. She serves as a Board Member of the Young Lawyers Division for the New Orleans chapter of the Federal Bar Association. And she is the Programming Director for the Association for Women Attorneys.

Ashley earned her law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and is licensed to practice in Louisiana and New York. She earned her undergraduate degree in history from the University of Pennsylvania.
