Zakheni Ngubo

Zakheni Ngubo is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership and brand management. As the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Kelo #TheSmartRead since January 2021, Zakheni has established a prominent digital bookstore in Africa that offers readers options to buy or rent a wide range of books. Previously, Zakheni served as the Chief Executive Officer and Senior Managing Partner at Syafunda from October 2014 to February 2021. Earlier career roles include Brand Manager at PerDM Consulting and Real Promotions, where Zakheni managed campaigns such as the Virgin Mobile in-store pre-paid initiative. Zakheni holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Supply Chain Management from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and also pursued a Bachelor of Laws - LLB from institutions including the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Cape Town.
