Protein Purification/senior Scientific Officer at Kemp Proteins

Margarita Marinova is a highly skilled scientific professional with extensive experience in protein purification and research. Currently serving as a Senior Scientific Officer at Kemp Proteins since September 2019, Margarita manages multiple purification projects involving various proteins and maintains quality system documentation. Prior to this role, Margarita was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Old Dominion University Research Foundation, focusing on the effects of HSP90 inhibitors on pulmonary fibrosis. Margarita also has experience as a Research Scientist at Integrated Micro-Chromatography Systems, where purification processes for enzymes were developed, and as a Laboratory Technician II at High-Purity Standards. Earlier research experience includes work as a Research Fellow at the Institute of Organic Chemistry with Centre of Phytochemistry, concentrating on enzyme activity assays and hydrolysis of food proteins. Margarita earned a Ph.D. in Bioorganic Chemistry from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and holds a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Chemistry from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski.
