Kyle Darbonne

Kyle Darbonne has a diverse work experience across multiple fields. Kyle started in 2012 as an Exhibit Floor Education Volunteer at Mobius Spokane, where they engaged with visitors, facilitated classes, and assisted with special events. From 2011 to 2014, they worked at Whitworth University as a Social Media Specialist, managing the Twitter account and assisting with other forms of social media. Kyle also served as a Student Visit Ambassador, leading tours and coordinating visit programs. In 2014, they joined Littleton Public Schools as a Middle School Science Teacher and later became the Dean of Students at the Options Secondary Program. From 2019 to 2021, they worked at Kenai Peninsula Borough School District as a Migrant Education Specialist, building relationships with students and families, organizing programming, and managing budgets. Kyle then became the Violence Prevention & Communication Coordinator at South Peninsula Haven House, Inc. from 2020 to 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Principal at Fireweed Academy in the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District.

Kyle Darbonne earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Psychology from Whitworth University in 2013. In 2014, they completed a Master's Degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from the same institution. In 2019, they obtained a Principal Certification in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Lamar University.
