Alara Karakas

Alara Karakas has a long and varied work experience. Alara began their career in 2010 as a PR & Marketing Intern at Wardenclyffe. In 2011, they moved to rag & bone in the same role. In 2012, they became a Creative / PR Specialist at ceft and company. From 2014 to 2015, they held the role of Jr. Graphic Designer at Contemporary Istanbul, Graphic Designer at Daniska, and Graphic Designer at !f istanbul. Alara then moved to Esse Housewares in 2015 as a Graphic Designer. In 2019, they became a Senior Graphic Designer at Heden Lisboa - Sustainable Coworking. Finally, they began working as a Freelance Graphic Designer in 2016 and is currently a Graphic Designer at kencko.

Alara Karakas completed a B.A. in Media, Culture and Communication from New York University in 2011, with a focus in Images & Screen Studies, Persuasion & Politics. In 2014, they began taking Continuing Education courses in Graphic Design at the School of Visual Arts.
