Andy Petrella has a wealth of experience in the tech industry. Andy began their career in 2009, working as a Senior Developer for ProduWeb. In 2010, they moved to Hexagon Geospatial, where they worked as a Senior Developer. In 2013, they Co-Founded WAJUG and in 2014, they worked as a Cloud|Data|Advisor Engineer for Virdata and as a Program Committee Member: Big Data specialist for FOSS4G. In 2015, they became a PMC Member for O'Reilly Media and a Founder | Chief Product Officer for Kensu. In 2020, they authored a report titled "What is Data Governance? Understanding the Business Impact" for O'Reilly Media and in 2022, they are set to release a sequel to the series of books, articles, and talks they have given since 2013 titled "Fundamentals of Data Observability (a.k.a. FODO)".
Andy Petrella has a comprehensive educational background. Andy completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Science from the University of Liège in 2005-2006, a Master of Science - MS in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Liège in 2003-2005, and a Diploma of Profound Studies in Geometrology-Geomatics Sciences from the University of Liège in 1999-2003.
