Cameron Drummond

Cameron Drummond is an experienced sports reporter currently working for the Lexington Herald-Leader since July 2021, focusing on high school, college, and professional sports in Kentucky. Prior to this role, Cameron served as a Community News Reporter at the Austin American-Statesman, covering local news in Texas, and held various reporting positions that included Indiana men's basketball and football coverage with publications such as Inside The Hall and The Journal Gazette. Earlier experience includes internships with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and FC Dallas, along with significant contributions to the Indiana Daily Student in multiple capacities, from sports editor to beat reporter. Cameron holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Indiana University Bloomington, with a minor in Spanish.
