Cassidy Wheeler currently serves as a Victim Advocate at Kentucky Refugee Ministries, Inc., a position held since October 2023. Previously, Cassidy worked at Feeding Kentucky as an Advocacy Coordinator from January 2022 to October 2023, focusing on policy and systems advocacy to combat hunger across the state. As a Regional Coordinator/Advocate for Ampersand Sexual Violence Resource Center of the Bluegrass from January 2021 to January 2022, Cassidy supported survivors of sexual violence and advocated for client needs. Prior experience includes teaching composition and research writing courses at Syracuse University, serving as a Writing Center Consultant, and working as a File Clerk at Dickinson Wright PLLC. Cassidy also contributed as a Field Intern for the Jim Gray Campaign for U.S. Senate in 2016. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in English Language and Literature from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature & Political Science from Transylvania University. Additionally, Cassidy participated in a Summer Literature Programme at the University of Cambridge in 2016.
