Samuel Ngugi

Samuel Ngugi, MCIPS has a diverse and extensive work experience in supply chain and procurement. Samuel currently holds the position of Head of Supply Chain & Facilities Management at Kenya Airways since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Safaricom PLC in various roles, including Corporate & Commercial Services Sourcing Lead, Senior Manager of Sourcing, and Senior Manager of Supply Chain Enablers. Samuel also served as the Purchasing Manager at Kenya Airways from 2007 to 2010. Before that, they were the Assistant Procurement Manager at East Africa Portland Cement Company from 2005 to 2007. Samuel'scareer started at DelMonte Kenya Limited, where they held the position of Head of Purchasing from 2000 to 2005.

Samuel Ngugi, MCIPS, holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Nairobi, which they completed from 2004 to 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same university, completing it from 1993 to 1998. In terms of additional certifications, Samuel has completed various courses on platforms like LinkedIn, including "Scrum Master Certified (SMC)" in 2019 and "Advance Your Skills as a Supply Chain Manager" in 2020. Samuel also holds certifications in areas like blockchain, design thinking, DevOps, and artificial intelligence.
