Michael Harvey

Michael is a partner in Keoghs’ Property Risks and Coverage Team.

He has over 20 years’ experience of insurance claims, becoming a partner in 2011, and joining Keoghs in 2022.

Michael specialises in product liability, recall, and coverage; including property damage and construction claims with a products liability element.

He defends and advises major insurers and large corporate insureds on all types of product liability dispute. This includes consumer claims, but most of Michael’s work is in relation to large and complex commercial B2B claims.

The types of claim handled is wide and varied, including such things as fire and flood, food and drink contamination and labelling, automotive, aircraft engines, biomass fuel, biogas processing plant, automated dairies, electrical goods, wind turbines, and many more.

Many of the claims handled have an international dimension, and he is experienced in cross-jurisdictional disputes.

Michael is a trusted adviser on a wide range of coverage issues.
