Peter Stevens

Brand & Design Officer at Keolis Downer

Peter Stevens has a diverse work experience in the field of graphic design. Peter started their career in 1997 as a Publications Designer/Editor at Brands Hatch Leisure Group, where they were responsible for designing and producing event programs and marketing materials for motorsport events. Peter then worked as a Production/Studio Manager at Bullet Production, managing the studio team and overseeing print production for clients like Honda Motorcycles and Zanussi.

In 2002, Peter became a Freelance Graphic Designer, working with various clients until 2005 when they joined Aquent as a Freelance Graphic Designer/Creative Artworker. During their time at Aquent, they worked with major agencies and publishers, gaining experience in different studio environments and working on projects for clients like John Lewis and Waitrose.

From 2010 to 2014, Peter worked as a Senior Graphic Designer at Transport for London, designing material that complied with TfL's strict Design Standards. Here, they worked on diverse projects such as corporate literature redesign, advertising posters, and vehicle liveries.

After their tenure at TfL, Peter worked as a Senior Graphic Designer at Public Transport Victoria from 2014 to 2018. Their responsibilities included designing network maps for train and tram networks and developing a colored wayfinding system.

In 2018, Peter joined Transport for Victoria as an Integrated Mapping & Journey Planning - Design Project Manager, where they developed a project plan for the Integrated Mapping Project, aimed at creating a single, digital GIS base map for government agencies.

From 2019 to 2021, Peter was self-employed as a Freelance Senior Designer, working on various design projects including Rail Projects Victoria and Maynards.

Currently, Peter is working at Keolis Downer as a Brand & Design Officer, starting in 2021.

Peter Stevens attended the Kent Institute of Art and Design from 1988 to 1990, focusing on Graphic Design.
