Hrefna Sigridur Briem

Hrefna Sigridur Briem has a diverse work experience. From 1995 to 2002, they worked as a Financial Accountant at Netverk plc. Hrefna Sigridur then joined Íslandsbanki in 2004 as an Account Manager, where they worked until 2007. In 2007, they started their career at Reykjavik University, where they took on various roles. Their responsibilities at the university included being the Director of the B.Sc. program in Business and Economics, teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses, supervising research projects, and serving in various committees and project groups. Hrefna Sigridur also led the team preparing the school for accreditation processes. In 2022, they joined Kerecis as the Director of the CEO office.

Hrefna Sigridur Briem has a Master of Science degree in Business Administration from Háskóli Íslands, which they obtained from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration at Háskóli Íslands from 1999 to 2002. In 2015, they attended the Advanced Management Program AMP at IESE Business School, where they focused on International Business. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications such as "Rannsóknarmiðstöð um stjórnarhætti - diplóma, viðurkenndur stjórnarmaður" from Háskóli Íslands in 2019, "Assurance of learning I and II" from AACSB International in 2018, and "Global Reporting Initiative Certified Training Course based on G4 Reporting Guidelines" from ENACT SUSTAINABLE STRATEGIES GROUP ESS AB in 2015.
