Ana Méndez Valencia, LCSW, currently serves as a Behavioral Health Therapist II and Clinical Supervisor at Kern Behavioral Health and Recovery Services since August 2019, and also holds clinical supervision roles at Kern County Hispanic Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services and Crestwood Behavioral Health, Inc. since April 2024. Ana has extensive experience in mental health, having worked as a Bilingual Therapist and Substance Abuse Counselor at Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services and Social Model Recovery Systems, respectively. With a solid educational background, including a Master of Social Work from UCLA and ongoing Doctorate studies at Tulane University, Ana applies evidence-based practices and culturally competent approaches in providing therapy, crisis intervention, and case management services to diverse populations. Past roles include involvement in research at UC Irvine and community outreach efforts, demonstrating a commitment to integrating services and supporting vulnerable youth and adults.
