Catherine Jones

Catherine Jones is a seasoned professional in the field of risk management and safety, currently serving as a Professor of Occupational Safety and Risk Management at Bakersfield College since October 2016. In addition, Catherine holds the position of Director of Risk Management Services for the Kern County Superintendent of Schools and previously directed the Public Agency Risk Management Association from 2013 to 2018. Catherine's extensive experience also includes over two decades as the Director of Risk Management Services at Self-Insured Schools of California, where a focus was placed on issues such as disability discrimination and facility safety. Catherine's academic credentials include a Master's degree in Homeland Security from the Naval Postgraduate School and a BS in Health Science with a specialization in Occupational Safety and Health from California State University, Fresno, complemented by an Associate of Arts degree from Bakersfield College.
