Tyler Whitezell, CPA has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Tyler served as the Chief Operating Officer at Kern Medical, where they led strategic initiatives and was responsible for various departments including quality, performance improvement, and licensing. Tyler also played a significant role in developing the organization's response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Prior to this, Tyler served as the Vice President of Administrative Services at Kern Medical, overseeing the transition of ownership from the County to the Kern County Hospital Authority. Tyler implemented a population health strategy and had extensive experience in public hospital policy and finance. Tyler also worked as the Director of Performance Analysis at Kern Medical, where they collaborated with the executive team to prioritize projects based on financial returns and patient care impact. Tyler Whitezell, CPA, holds a Master of Accountancy degree from Brigham Young University, which they obtained from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the same university, graduating between 2006 and 2013. Tyler is also a Certified Public Accountant, having obtained their certification from the California Board of Accountancy in 2015 and the Colorado State Board of Accountancy in 2014. Additionally, they hold a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from the University of Michigan.
